Viriyananda Susilo

Viriyananda Susilo is a co-founder of Aether AI and serves as its Chief Operating Officer, working from Boston across Aether’s operations in Boston, Hong Kong and Indonesia. He oversees business strategy, financial planning and cross-functional operations, and guides product and market development.

He develops and manages the budgets, forecasts and financial reports behind Aether’s multi-country operations and new project launches, and coordinates technical, financial and operational workflows across cross-border teams to meet project milestones. He has led business development that secured partnerships with consulates, universities and organizations adopting AI, and directed product strategy for Aether’s AI platforms in education, government and enterprise.

Viriyananda is also a co-founder of the Nusantara AI Institute, Aether’s non-profit arm, where he builds scalable AI literacy programs for diverse audiences. He has also worked in risk management at WOM Finance in Jakarta.

His background combines computer science and accounting. As a course assistant for Probability in Computing at Boston University, he applied probability and statistical methods to computational problems and worked with faculty to improve course delivery and grading. His skills span financial modeling, forecasting and data analytics in Excel, SQL, Python and Tableau.

Aether AI is a hybrid between venture capital and a venture studio. Most of what we do is AI software: our in-house R&D team builds and deploys AI products for enterprises and governments, and we invest in, acquire and grow AI startups alongside their founders.
